Family A · The pitch
The match is played. Keep a record of it.
Picking two balanced sides, logging the score, and still knowing six months later who led the run. This is the part of Gaùcho nobody finds on their own — and the part that makes people come back the following week.
In 30 seconds
- Before kick-off : Set the teams, by hand or with « Split ».
- Lock the line-up once it's right.
- After the match : enter the goals. The result works itself out.
- The score stays editable for 7 days, then it's locked.
Picking the sides
Two columns, a bench, and a button for when nobody wants to decide.
Place the players
Drag a player from one column to the other, or tap them to pick where they go. Anyone not yet placed waits in « no team ».
Or let « Split » decide
The button shares everyone out in one go. Handy when the debate drags on in the car park.
Name the teams
« The Reds » rather than « Team A », with a bib colour. In a group the name applies to every match ; leave it empty to go back to the defaults.
Lock it
Once the line-up is settled, lock it : nobody changes it by accident during the warm-up.
The score, and what it commits to
Deliberately minimal : goals, and nothing else to declare.
What the score does
- The result is worked out from the goals — win, draw or loss are never chosen
- The match joins your history with its W, D or L
- In a group it feeds the head-to-heads : who leads the run
- Editable for 7 days after the match, then locked
What it doesn't do
- No effect at all on your reputation : that depends only on ratings
- No overall league table between players of the app
- Players left without a team keep « played », with no win or loss
A group's usual teams
If your group has a recurring slot, you can set a line-up from the group page that applies to every match of that slot. Each week everyone lands in their side with no re-picking. Members can see the line-up ; only the admin changes it.
The history
Every match you've finished, with its score and its kind.
Your record
Matches played, wins, draws, losses. Every line shows its result at a glance.
AllRecurringGroupPublicPrivateThe group's head-to-heads
Inside a group, the app keeps track of the meetings between sides. That's where Tuesday night's arguments get settled.
Stuck?
Who can enter the score?
The match organiser, or the group admin for a group match. It's deliberately restricted : with ten people allowed to correct the score, there'd be no score left.
We got the score wrong — is it too late?
You have 7 days after the match to fix it. After that it's locked, so the history and head-to-heads stop shifting retroactively.
We played without setting the teams in the app
No problem : teams are optional. Without a line-up the match still joins your history, simply with no win or loss attributed.
A player turned up late and swapped sides
Unlock the line-up, move them, lock it again. As long as the score isn't locked, everything can still be changed.
Does the score affect my reputation?
No, not at all. Your reputation depends only on ratings left by other players — turning up, behaviour, level of play and team spirit. Losing 8-2 changes nothing. See Your profile & reputation.
Next match, you'll know who's ahead.
Pick the sides, log the score, and let the history do the rest.
